Connect NetWorthTrackr to ChatGPT
Add NetWorthTrackr to ChatGPT as a plugin: Settings, Plugins, the + button, Create custom MCP server, then paste https://mcp.networthtrackr.com and choose OAuth. Sign in once and approve, and ChatGPT can answer questions about your net worth, accounts and holdings, and record balances when you ask.

Add the plugin
ChatGPT calls these integrations plugins. Under the hood a plugin is an MCP server, which is what NetWorthTrackr runs.
- In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings, then Plugins.
- Click the + button and choose Create custom MCP server.
- Name it NetWorthTrackr, paste the address below, and set authentication to OAuth.
- Sign in on the NetWorthTrackr page that opens and approve.
- Back in the plugin, check that its tools are listed, then ask "What is my net worth?" in a new chat.

Things to ask ChatGPT
Mention the plugin by name the first time, so ChatGPT knows to use it:
- “Using NetWorthTrackr, what is my net worth today and how does it compare with six months ago?”
- “Which of my accounts have not been updated in over a month?”
- “Chart my net worth for the last 12 months.”
- “Add a savings account at ING in euros with 5,000 in it.”
ChatGPT normally asks you to confirm before a change runs, and the tools that can overwrite something are marked so it treats them with care. Read-only questions go straight through.
If something goes wrong
“No app tools available yet” on the plugin page. Click Refresh on the plugin. If the list stays empty, check the address is exactly the one above, then remove and add the plugin again.
“There was a problem connecting” while signing in. Usually a mistyped address or a sign-in window closed early. Try again from the plugin page.
ChatGPT answers without your data. Ask it to use NetWorthTrackr by name, or start a new chat with the plugin switched on.
