Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. The data controller is NetWorthTrackr. Questions: privacy@networthtrackr.com.

We only process personal data where the law allows: to perform our contract with you (providing and maintaining the Service, managing your registration), for legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, understanding feature usage through product analytics, preventing abuse), or with your consent (e.g. balance-reminder emails, which you can withdraw at any time). We use financial data solely to compute your net worth, trends, and analytics for you. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.

We share data only with processors that host and operate the Service under data-processing agreements — currently Clerk (authentication), Supabase (application database), Vercel (hosting and page-performance measurement) and PostHog (product analytics, hosted in the EU) — with authorities where legally required, or in a merger/acquisition (with notice to you). We keep your data for as long as your account is active; when you delete your account, your personal and financial data is permanently deleted from production systems within 30 days, and from encrypted backups within 90 days. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We use modern encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and secure database providers to keep your financial snapshots confidential. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — please use a strong, unique password. Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, or erase your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from Settings, or contact privacy@networthtrackr.com.

We use first-party cookies and local storage only — for your session, your preferences such as theme, and product analytics. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. The analytics cookie is set by PostHog on your first visit, without a consent prompt, and holds an identifier tied to your account so we can count unique users and see which features are actually used. If you would rather not be counted, write to us at the address below and we will exclude you. Note that the cookies that keep you signed in are essential — blocking those will stop the Service from working. Page performance is measured by Vercel Speed Insights, which collects anonymous loading metrics and does not identify you. Where session replay is enabled for troubleshooting, every typed input and all on-screen text is masked in your browser before anything is sent, so balances and personal details are never recorded. To object to analytics processing, contact privacy@networthtrackr.com. The Service is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be notified via the Service or email, with the "last updated" date revised above.
